Interview with Metta Sama
Speaking of Marvels interviews Metta Sama about her Nous-zot chapbook After "Sleeping to Dream"/After After.
"The chapbook was, as I took it, a challenge from Marthe
Reed, who asked me if I had more ekphrastic-ish poems, similar to ones I’d
published in B O D Y. I did not, and those poems were not ekphrastic in
the sense that we talk about it, but reverse ekphrastics: poems that had lived
for a very long time under different titles and were then re-titled as being
“After” artwork that, when I saw the artwork, made me think of the poems, in
very very slant ways."
Copies of After "Sleeping to Dream"/After After may be purchased here.

Nesting Instinct
House, home, dwelling.place, here then there, Jesse Nissim
investigates the pull of domestic spaces. Recuperating the distance between
self and object, past and present, sheltered and homeless, Nissim returns us in
the potencies of the first place, its walls, its loves, its absences, its lack,
recovering, bitter and sweet, the walls of the lost.
